About

A stonemason building stone stairs for Stone & Trowel in Victoria BC

With over 25 years of masonry restoration experience, Sean Lennox founded Stone & Trowel Heritage Restoration with the intention of preserving historical masonry buildings and structures for both the public and private spheres alike. Sean has been stepped in the study and methods of traditional masonry since his early teens and has continued to hone his skill sets over the years to position himself as a source of knowledge and expertise in the field of masonry restoration.

Learning from master stonemasons and carvers at the beginning of his career helped to instill a strong sense of pride and dedication to pursuing the craft of stonemasonry by restoring the past and preserving the future of historical buildings. Sean has had the opportunity to work on heritage structures throughout Vancouver and Victoria, BC, along with numerous other sites across British Columbia.

Since its inception Stone & Trowel has helped to provide consultations and restorations on the Governors House, Craigdarroch Castle, the Oldfield Estate, Ross Bay Cemetery, Parliament Buildings, and the City Hall in both Victoria and Duncan, BC. Apart from public heritage buildings, Stone & Trowel has been responsible for the repairing and rebuilding of countless private masonry collections, including heritage chimneys, stone walls, pillars, houses, and unique masonry collections. Visit our Services page for a detailed overlay of what we can for you and your project today!
